wild, wild west

Why is it that everyear the most compelling pennet races in baseball come from the west. Rather its the A's jocking for position with their standard second half run with the mariners and this the angels or the giants fighting with rivals for the division or the coveted wild card spot. Why is it that the second August hits the A's and Giants are making a run for the postseason with their decreasing budget and hole filled rosters. I know the giants have a big payroll, but they have a lot of money tied up in closer Rob Nen who suffered a potentialy career ending injury sufferered in the giants 2002 worldseries bid. Why does it seems that the races in the american heartland and in the home region of the national pastime. How come the only two division races that arnet over are in the west. Well maybe with exeption of the powerfull AL east where the surging BoSox have pulled to witin three and a half games of the slumping yankees but we all no how that race will end. Could it be that all the teams are stucred right to make the playoffs, but not win in the playoffs, before the 2002 seriers it had been thirteen years since a team from california has beenn in the worldseries or even deep in the playoffs. One thing is garunteed though no mater why come fall baesball the west is always the most competive region the great baseball played hear when the leaves turn colors the west has some spoiled fans.
